Ethanol Our primary product is a clean-burning, high-octane motor fuel that is produced from renewable sources. At its most basic, ethanol is grain alcohol, produced from crops such as
Milo. Because it is domestically produced, ethanol helps reduce America's dependence upon foreign sources of energy. Unblended 100% ethanol is not used as a motor fuel; instead, a percentage of ethanol is combined with unleaded gasoline.
A common blend is E85, 85% ethanol and 15% unleaded gasoline.

Production
Ethanol production is reaching unprecedented levels, growing America's ability
to supply a portion of its own transportation fuel and reducing dependancy on forign
supplied energy. Levelland Hockley County Ethanol and about 40% of the
nation's ethanol facilities are owned by farmers and other local
investors. These ethanol cooperatives have driven rural communities and industry
growth over the past decade.
