About Us
Levelland/Hockley
County Ethanol, LLC was formed to construct, own, and operate a 40
million gallon per year ethanol production plant. The plant was
constructed on a 223 acre site approximately three miles east of Levelland,
TX.
Levelland/Hockley County Ethanol, LLC is a privately-held company
dedicated to adding value to west Texas' milo and corn production
by turning locally-grown grain into clean-burning ethanol.
Grain,
ethanol and ethanol co-products can be delivered by either rail or
truck. The BNSF railroad is linked to the site via the West Texas
to Lubbock Railway. The plant will have
access to the rail line for shipping ethanol to marketers outside the local area.
Levelland/Hockley
County Ethanol, LLC completed financing and broke ground in October
of 2006 and started construction in January of 2007. ICM, Inc. of
Colwich, Kansas was the design engineer and general contractor
for Levelland/Hockley County Ethanol, LLC. Levelland/Hockley County
Ethanol, LLC has teamed up with Lansing Trade Group, LLC to help market
ethanol and distillers grain, and procure milo and corn.
This plant is a dry mill plant and has an annual capacity to
process approximately 15 million bushels of corn and milo into 40
million gallons of ethanol per year. The plant also expects to produce
approximately 130,000 tons of modified wet (MWDG) and dried distillers
grain (DDGS), which will be sold to local markets.
